Federica Pellegrini is one of Italy’s most successful athletes of all time: she has broken the world record an incredible 11 times.
Her trophy cabinet boasts an Olympic gold and silver medal, 10 world championship medals, 5 of which are gold, and 15 European championship medals, 7 of which are gold, not to mention the various short distance swimming championships and Italian titles (117 gold medals, 31 silver medals and 14 bronze medals).
This year’s Premio Fuoriclasse Award, now in its eleventh edition, has been given to this “Goddess” for her outstanding career, for her promotion of Italian success around the world and for setting an example for the younger generations.
This year, the event returned home to the Castagner Distillery, where friends, guests and customers gathered to admire Federica’s elegance and friendly nature as she was interviewed by Red Canzian. Attendees also enjoyed the delicious food prepared by the Celeste, le Marcandole, il Patriarca, la Terrazza and le Beccherie restaurants.
