Journalist, television presenter and writer. He was director of TG1 (news programme in Italy), where he remained a reporter for big events. He created and hosts the Italian television programme “Porta a Porta”. Writer of a series of essays documenting 25 years of Italian history through the people who wrote it.
The 2015 Premio Fuoriclasse Award ceremony was organised among the Roberto Castagner copper stills. This year, the invitation was extended also to colleagues from the wine industry (attendees included Giacomo Rallo from Donnafugata, Gianluca Bisol, Elvira Bortolomiol, …) once again highlighting our vocation for networking.
At the award ceremony, an unusual “inverted” episode of the TV show “Porta a Porta” was held, with Bruno Vespa becoming the interviewee.
Former Fuoriclasse winners had the honour of asking the questions: Alberto Bauli, Giovanni Rana, Roberto Papetti, Emanuela Di Centa, Riccardo Illy, Red Canzian.
The entire audience, made up of 250 careful listeners, had the pleasure of hearing his answers, getting an understanding of Vespa’s deep knowledge and culture, but also his elegance in skirting around the more uncomfortable questions, with exemplary wit.
An evening when even the most sceptical guests were able to appreciate this media giant’s professional and human stature. Historic presenter of the “Porta a Porta” programme, he is able to charm members of the audience with his own personal anecdotes.
